About Farmers Best
February 2019
Farmers Best changed hands to a new owner, Jon Ramaekers. Farmers Best Popcorn was started in Rockwell City, Iowa by Tom and Diane Decker. Jon and Jenna Ramaekers now run Farmers Best in Worthington, Iowa.
Jon Ramaekers
Jon grew up in Carroll, Iowa and following his graduation from DMACC in Ankeny, Iowa he moved to Worthington, Iowa to chase his dreams of taking over the family farm. His great-grandfather, grandfather, and uncle all ran the family farm on East Worthington Road. Jon purchased the family farm in early 2022 making him a fourth generation farmer of an 80-year-old crop farm! He produces corn, soybeans, hay, and popcorn in the rolling hills of north-east Iowa.
